Gradually Waiting

this is addressed to all 4th year CITE Students of TIP-QC

Four years ago,
you've been too worried of what course you want to take.
Maybe, you've really planned of something else rather that this..
Probably, you have your big dreams with you.
Yet, you're so uncertain of what steps you're going to take to be there...
Four years ago,
you've been searching for the right school...
of the right college to enter.
Perhaps you'v tried some prestige colleges and universities before finally deciding to enter ours..
Four years ago,
you've been worrying of what kind of people and friends
you're beeing with for the coming years..

and when you entered the school, you're really thinking of these people...
of where they came from... and for who they really are...
As time goes by and as your choice brought you here,
We've already gone through obstacles and twirls of life in our very own school.
We had a lot of fun,
We had a lot
worries and too much thinking
We've been through rough researching and studying -
meet the
on-demand requirementslive after their deadlines..
go outside and
search for companies...gone through the things we didn't ever imagine that we going into...
We use to
love and hate our professors.
enjoyed the college day/week..
going to places which you really dont knowWe've been into quarells with our friends...We used to been in the happiest and craziest moments with them..
We learned to love them and love them for who they are..
You used to
eye someone in the class..
You even fell in and out of love. ^^

and now you're finally here
you've gone so far
you're so blessed because of so many things
(God, parents, family, friends, and a lot more)
maybe, you're currently writing your Thesis Documentations
or taking your 30 minutes break for you brain..
and you're still struggling of what kind of words to write
or maybe what programming codes to use..
maybe you're loosing hope
or too frightened because you dont know what to do..
or maybe you're catching your breath because you wanna die
or into your knees and praying for His wisdom..
or maybe looking at your sleeping parents
and silently saying...
"this is for you, Ma" or
"you're the inspiration, Pa"
.."even if I can't take it anymore"..
We're all in the same situation.
I believe that we can do it.
God is with us and will never leave us
Even we're to face the toughest situation..
even things may tangle up.
even we can't hold on anymore..
even we lose hope..
even if creativity and idea leave us..
even if we can't..

It's no less 250 days before the last day of March..
It's no less hundred liters of tears,
of nosebleeds, of headaches and sleepless nights..

Yet, keep believing.
Have faith.
worry less
Pray.
Love still.
Help others.
Have time to be with friends.
be an encouragement to others.manage your time correctlyarrange your prioritiesdon't forget to thank God
and those people who helped you
unburden your self from problems
Laugh.
Cry out.
love your self.
find correct solutions to problems
Chill.
Unload things in your head
to learn new ones

be inspired.
be a good young citizen
do things right.
avoid too much complains
and don't ever give up on your dreams

I Failed?

One of the greatest tides in my life is failure. Yup. I made a bad 'thing' that I though was good.

The hurt and the pain knocks me down and frustration keeps circulating in my veins. I didn't met their expectations. Their silent words really makes somber - it's breaking me, slaying me, keeps on stabbing me, killing me - just like DEATH WORDS!

I looked back to the times when I first heard the 'death word' - it's just on the last camp I attended and the very first thing I remembered is that you should haven't listened to those persons who told you those death words but rather believe on what the Lord has told you, promised you.

as
I looked upon life and remember a movie (Meet the Robinsons), failure had always lead people to success. And even people(Bible Characters) who think to themselves that they are failures was used by God to do the Job.

It's true that Death Words + Failure will kill you. But the Lord is always there to give you hope. His unfailing love and grace will help you stand up, take a single step, and another single step, and another one... and will help you to walk.. and finally, you can see your self running again..

It's God's supply of Hope - it's free. Specially when life hurts most.

Haha!

Nagpapasalamat ako sa Lord sa pagsubaybay niya sakin every step of the way.

Nakakatuwa sila.
Surprise Donut and Cake Party :)
Natouch ako.
Andon sina Josh, Gee, Banal, Ian, Meca, Nelson, Chy, Leo, at AJ

Guitar-A!

Oh my!

First time kong pumasok dun.
Pambihira.

Prophesy for the Philippines (2003)

By Cindy Jacobs

The Lord would say to the Philippines,
I am shaking everything that can be shaken, so no man would glory in what I will do.
For I have waited for a generation that I could raise up a purity and a holiness in.
And I am raising up firebrands - there is a forerunner anointing coming upon the youth of the Philippines that will prepare the way of the Lord even in the Middle East,
says the Lord.

Look and see what I will do in Mindanao.
For I am going to visit in a way that you cannot imagine.
I am coming to Mindanao, says the Lord.
As the God and the Lord of the host, and I am going to start appearing.

The Lord says, as a sign that I am going to truly change the nation, I am going to show myself to the guerrilla leaders. And I am going to come, says the Lord and I am going to begin at the places in the Philippines that have been the bloodiest, the places where the guerrilla's insurrection have been the strongest.

And I am going to come with signs and wonders and miracles. And I am getting ready to pour out a miracle anointing upon the Philippines such as the earth has never seen. For Indonesia, they had a rushing mighty wind. But in the Philippines, they will have the fire from heaven that will begin to fall. This will be a purging fire. And I will say, I will visit even as if in a day, says God.

Do not think I am not able to come in a day and begin to unravel the iniquities of the nation, says the Lord.

I am going to visit the military, I am getting ready to come among the young military. And the Lord says, there's going to be a revolution of the righteousness that comes with the military.

I am getting ready to dethrone everything that needs to be dethroned for even the bowls of heaven are full. Oh, I see the bowls in heaven are just getting ready to be tipped over the Philippines and I'm going to spill out my glory.

And the Lord says, I will remove the shame that Satan has tried to put upon this nation.

And the Lord says, look and see for even the blood of the martyrs cries out from Saudi Arabia. The blood of the martyrs cries out from those Islamic nations and my Filipino people that have laid their lives down.

Do not think I haven't seen.
Do not think I am looking away.
Do not think I do not see you, Philippines for I see you.
You are the apple of my eye. You are a treasure unto me.

And the Lord says, this is the day and this is the hour when I begin to change everything, says the Lord.

I am going to change the judicial system.
I am going to dethrone the corrupt judges.
I am getting ready to deal with the Police force.
I am going to begin to expose, expose, expose, expose.

And the Lord says, look and see what I will do.
For I will open up my treasure chest from the Philippines.
And I am going to begin to release finance from the Philippines that will surprise and shake even Hong Kong.
For I am getting ready to move a distribution of wealth, says God.
And I am getting ready to open the oil.
I am getting ready to open that which is in the ocean.
I am getting ready to bring forth a revolution even in the economic systems, in the finance systems.

Look in the universities in Manila, says God.
For I will bring a revival.
The Lord says, not hundreds, thousands and thousands and thousands are going to get saved.

The Lord says, can I touch a whole university?
Yes, I can touch a whole university.

I can come with my glory and I can come with my power.
In ways that you cannot imagine.

For I am coming, says God.
I am coming and I will remain, says the Lord.

[i had a chance to watch this video before pa pero ngayon ko lang napanood. And while I'm watching this, I couldn't help but cry.. Haay and even realized na naumpisahan na ni Lord yung mga plano niya. Amazing!

And this last year's prophesy, Cindy Jacobs said that we should be ready for this coming elections.. we should pray for it... for something will happen. Can't wait to see.]

Lupang Hinirang

Kahit anong mangyari - nagkulang ka man noon.

"...and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Could you humble yourself before God? and pray for our country? and turn from our evil doings?
He said, He will hear us, and He will forgive and totally heal us..
It's the word of God.. It's His promise.

We'll not stop praying until something happens and make change. Si Lord lang ang makakatulong sa'tin. Ang hirap hirap magbago - sa totoo lang.
(Remember: Praying is the ability to trust God, and having faith in Him)

Laging may pag-asa.

Nasa prophesy yan. :)

and lastly, I would like you to ponder this song:

God of This City
Chris Tomlin

You’re the God of this city
You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation
You are

You’re the light in this darkness
You’re the hope to the hopeless
You’re the peace to the restless
You are

For there is no-one like our God
There is no-one like our God

Chorus
Greater things have yet to come
Greater things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things have still to be done here

Love is Waiting

In the autumn on the ground,
between the traffic and the ordinary sounds
I am thinking signs and seasons while a north wind blows through
I watch as lovers pass me by
Walking stories - whos and hows and whys
Musing lazily on love
Pondering you
I'll give it time, give it space and be still for a spell
When it's time to walk that way we wanna walk it well

[CHORUS:]
I'll be waiting for you baby
I'll be holding back the darkest night
Love is waiting til we're ready, til it's right
Love is waiting

It's my caution not the cold
there's no other hand that i would rather hold
the climate changes, I'm singing for the strangers about you
don't keep time,
slow the pace

Honey hold on if you can
the bets are getting surer now
that you're my man

I could write a million songs about the way you say my name
I could live a lifetime with you and then do it all again
and like I can't force the sun to rise or hasten summer's start,
neither should I rush my way into your heart

"Still In Love" - Brooke Fraser

I'm not hanging on your every word
I'm thriving on my self-sufficiency
I'm not listening to the things I've heard
About me and you

People think there must be something to the way
I talk about you every chance I get
But if I think about you night and day
Doesn't mean I'm ready yet

Maybe I am knee-deep in denial
Or maybe I'm just trying to move on
Maybe I should keep away awhile
But if distance is right I'd rather be wrong

[Chorus]
'Cos I love the way you're smiling at me
When you know it's true
I'm still in love with you
And I love the way you're really trying
Not to let me see
You're still in love with me too

I am way to proud to verbalise my feelings
And you are way to mean if you just let this brew
It's a complicated hand that you've been dealing
Time to win me over: fold and make your move

Smooth some calm over this situation
I can't get past the way I feel for you
It's the little things that make this worth the effort
It's the small, little, insignificant things you do

That make me love the way you're glancing, hoping
When you know it's true
I'm still in love with you
And I love that I'm barely coping
When you let me see
You're still in love with me too

In love, still in love with
In love, still in love with
In love, still in love with you

Jesus In Blue Jeans

Ptr Manny V. shared us that if Jesus was born in this generation of ours, He would not be in the barong or super formal look. As humble as how we entered the Earth, He would be just like simple men, in His BLUE JEANS..

A few points tell us that He was humble that ..

1. He was not that really handsome. Well, the television had thaught us that He is. If you read your Bible, kapag may gwapo or maganda sa Bible, sinasabi tlagang literally na maganda o gwapo siya.. Let's read Isaiah 53... "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him... " . O dba? sabi nga rin niya.. Men look in the outward appearance, but I look at the heart." at hindi rin Siya ganun katangkad...

Siguro, dahil nga Lord Siya, dapat gwapo Siya.. pero can you still obey Him, even though is His not gwapo or maamo ang mukha??

2. The way He talks.

There are two kinds of Greek daw, ung isa lang ung natatandaan ko..

3. He was a great socializer..
He was a great socializer.. kumbaga nga, yung mga friends niya, sino ba? mga simpleng tao lang, mga fishermen. ? He was humble talaga.. Amazing..

4. He's one of the party people and people would not disperse..
If you read your Bible, mapapansin mo siguro na lagi na lang siyang nang nasa party. Mahilig kumain..

Ayon, the 4 points that leads that if Jesus physically, He would be in Blue Jeans.
hayy. you might not believe me.. or kung titignan, para blasphemy.. eh sa ganun eh.. hehe.. so amazing.. nakak Shock!

The Rat Race of Life

I think this is the 3rd message nung Camp brought by Ptr. Manny V.

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone who loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and he does - comes not from the Father but from the world.

Pastor Manny gave us 3 kinds of sins men committed wherein Christ won over...A great example is Adam and Eve in Genesis 3

I. Lust of the Eyes...

For man, it is said in Genesis 3:6.. "And it is delightful to the eyes.. "
For Christ, of Matthew 4:6, "Then the evil showed him the glory". (it is the time where the devil tempted Christ)

The lust of the eyes pertains about the earthly bodies which can be the source of desires. It could fill up the sensual appetite. It can be pornography or anything that could be seen by the eyes which can brought about sin.

II. Lust of the flesh
For man, in the same verse, "When the woman saw that the tree was good for food"..
For Christ of Matthew 4:3, "Jesus feasted for 40 days and nights, he became hungry, the evil tempted Him to make the stones bread".

(Well of course, flesh doesn't always talk about food;|)

The lust of the flesh gives the sense of pleasure. It arises by seeing them. It could be that it satisfies what the body needs that could brought about sin.

III. Boastful Pride of life,
For man, in Genesis 3:6, "And the tree was desirable to make one" (for the evil told Eve that if she eat one, she will know the things which she didn't know)
For Christ, in Matthew 4:6, when the devil tempts Jesus Christ to throw himself to down, Christ didn't do so even though He knew He can call His angels and lift him up with their hands to be saved.

The boastful pride of life talks about what people posses in order to impress other people. It is when people boasts about what he can do or for who he is.

When people, specially Christians are tempted to sin, he will sometimes find himself arriving to a question that could maybe struggle him... and we call it the Killer Question.. "Did God say... ?". Maybe, it is those situation where in you are tempted to sin and you think that God didn't tell anything about it... and when you are too curious of trying things or tempted to do such things, the Knock Out Punch from the devil will tell you .. "You will not certainly die.. "

hAayks.. We tend to rebel what God wants us to do...

"But each one of us is tempted to do when, by his own evil desires, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived it gives birth o sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.. "

Overcoming temptations:

There are many verses from the Bible which teaches us how to overcome temptations. We do not just need to pray that God will put us away from temptations for temptations are always there. Here are some verse:

WATCH and PRAY so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.. Matthew 26:41.

FLEE the evil desires of youth and PURSUE righteousness, faith, love and peace along with those who call the Lord out of a pure heart.

We don't just run away from our evil desires. We don't just maintain from being in the middle of the road. We don't stop sinning but pursuing righteousness, pursuing what God has wanted us to do.. Obeying and following Him.

SUBMIT yourself to God..RESIST the devil and he will FLEE from you.. - James 4:7

and here is our greatest assurance:

You sin because it is your choice

No temptation has has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand upon it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in everyday just as we are - yet has without sin. Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to he us in time of need. - Heb. 4:15-16

The choice is clear.

The world and its desires pass away, by
the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1st John 2:17

It is not really about rules. but what God wants us to do.

and lastly, let's remember that when we sin, there we hurt:
God
ourself
people around us.

The Race

This was the second message from the camp brought by Ptr. Jon Espanolla. He was indeed a great speaker. He even helped us about 3 years ago, in a camp titled Developing Young Leaders in Rebuilding the Nation. He even made us realize how great our country is. He is the Senior Pastor of Yeshua Rock (not sure of church' name).

Christian life is like a race. The moment we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, it was as if He put us in a race track.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace. - Acts 20:24

I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith - 2 Timothy4:7

Race in Greek term is dromos, it means course or journey. Race is journeying the course that is marked out for us. It is knowing your calling and fulfilling your purpose. Life never called "life" when you just live to exist. But life is called "life" when you do your very purpose that God has told you to do so. It is really about finishing the race. It's not about being at the top or finishing the race first. It is a reality of God's purpose living in His kingdom. It is not just maintaining to be a Christian. But living out your Christianity.

But being a Christian doesn't promise a life that doesn't have any problems. There are still hindrances that we could encounter:

1. False start of doing your purpose. The fire in us is so ab lazed that we cannot even control it. We tend to go beyond what we want to do because we are too emotional. We are to crazy to do our purpose even though, we are not that equipped:

"And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher" - 2 Timothy 1:11

Oftentimes, we do not wait upon the Lord. We should realize that everything is in His perfect timing.

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed - NT only in my presence but how much more in my absence - continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. - Philippians 2:12-13

But often times, we are too afraid to do our purpose because we are thinking of what the world may think to us.

We should discover our purpose.

2. Cramps

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something was happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in suffering of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12:13

Life, as we all know, is full of ups and downs. But one thing that we Christians have, is that in our sadness - there is joy because we have our God.

3. Jeerers. Jeerers are those people who tend to persecute you. They laugh at you and think that you are not that good.. They are the ones who says "Booooh!" or "Hindi mo kaya yan!". But come to think of it as what the Lord said:

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for their is the kingdom of heaven" - Matthewe 5:10

There are times that you may feel na kalaban mo na ang mundo. And there's one thing about Jeerers/Persecutors/Oppositions, - they persecute your because, they themselves do not know their purpose in life. Because they had no directions at oppose/baligtad ang pagktakbo nila.

Persecuted but not abandoned.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this
all surpassing power is from God and not from us.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed,
perplexed but not in despair.
Persecuted but not abandoned,
strucked down but not destroyed.
We always carry in our body the death of Jesus,
so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
- 2 Corinthians 4:7-1

In fact, every one who want to live a godly life
in Christ will be persecuted - 2 Timothy 3:12

4. Personal Weakness

But God choose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God chose the weak things of the world world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things and the things that are not to nullify the things that are so that no one may boast before Him.
1 Corinthians 1:27-29

We cannot do our purpose without Him. We are not that strong. We even cannot boast our very self because we are not perfect. We have our strengths, but we have our weaknesses too. But if we have Christ, we do. Even God, didn't call out people who are strong or great. They are not even famous. But because of God's power - they overcame their weakness.

"Whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign enemies" - some part of Hebrews 11:32-34

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God -
Hebrews 12:2
5. Quitting - because of failures and discipline. Hebrews 12:1-3
Some of us tend not to obey the rules. We find it too much 'nakakasakal'. Sometimes, we seek the world to be more enjoyable than what we have in Christ. We tend not to enjoy life - the life that God has given us.

Beyond these things, these hindrances, let's run the race.
Let's just not exist.
But live life with our purpose - knowing and embracing it.
Fix our eyes to the Lord.
Let's run until we finish the race!
