Called by God to Change the World
Wow!This time, kakatapos ko lang mananghalian. Hehehe! It's time to share na what I've learned from the camp. Hindi ko man mailagay dito lahat. Pero I know, atleast, naishare at naiblog ko dito.
The very first night of the camp has been very challenging to all. God brought His word through Ptr. Mannie Velante, which had been indeed a great example by which almost all of us could really relate with his testimony. But ofcourse, I cannot really tell you his life, but from being miserable, We saw God's power to change this man.
"Called by God to Change the World" - this really stunned me when I first saw this at the LCD screen. Yes, I know from the past that God had really called me (took it personally), but it was as if I had an amnesia that when I saw this, i say to myself, "Oo nga pala". Then the Pastor asked who among us believed that he is called by God to change the world.. With all my heart, together with the other young people, raised their hands... Are we really able to change the world by ourselves? Let's find out the answers..
In Jeremiah 1:4-5, The Lord came to him and said,

Are we really able to change the world by ourselves? Let's find out the answers..
In Jeremiah 1:4-5, The Lord came to him and said,
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born, I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
before you were born, I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
This very verse reminded me/us how important man is to God.. that man isn't just created to exist.. but to live with a purpose.. to live his life with the fullness of what God has told him to do. God has a wonderful plan for each one of us and we should claim it.
But, oftentimes, we just don't believe that we are important to God. We might think that we are unable to make things out of what we can do. We often think that we are not good enough. We don't think that we don't have the guts or we might pin point others or say "siya na lang, mas magaling siya sakin eh"... Let's see some points...
We've got to:
1. EMERGE
From the old testaments, God calls people from obscurity. He didn't use people that are famous, or great, or known. He uses people who are not that good... like Noah, God didn't call Noah because he can make great arks. Like Moses, Moses even questioned God.. because he didn't even believe in his self. He even asked for a spokeperson... ce Gideon, Gideon asked God.. Even Pastor Mannie, He had been a drug addict, he ruined his life. He didn't even believe if God exist and he told us, "sa tingin niyo, may karapatan akong magsalita dito sa harapan niyo kung pagbabatayan niyo ung mga ginagawa ko?(rephrased)" God didn't use this people for their greatness. They themseleves didn't even believe that they're great.
In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, The Lord said:
But, oftentimes, we just don't believe that we are important to God. We might think that we are unable to make things out of what we can do. We often think that we are not good enough. They themseleves didn't even believe that they're great.
"They were not called because they are great. But because they are called, they became great".
In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, The Lord said:
"My grace is sufficient for you,
for my power is made perfect in weakness.
Therefore i will boast all more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ's power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight
in weakenesses
in insults
in hardships,
in persecutions,
in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong"
for my power is made perfect in weakness.
Therefore i will boast all more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ's power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight
in weakenesses
in insults
in hardships,
in persecutions,
in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong"
"The weaker I get, the stronger I become"..
We people have our own weaknesses and strengths. But in our weaknesses, His greatness should be seen. There are many things in this world that we cannot do. In our own power, we cannot change the world.. But with God's power.. and if we allow his power to rest upon us.. we can really change the world.
There are times that we face failures. People may tell us that we can do nothing. Other people may give us "death words" (words na sinabi sa atin, nakasakit sa atin at tumatak sa isip natin.. hanggang sa pinaniniwalaan na natin). But there's one thing that we should belive: What others has said is not importat, but what God is. For what God said is true, is good, corrects faults, rebukes, teaches, etc...
2.EMPOWER
recieve the power when the Holy Spirit comes to you..
The Lord said in Acts 1:8:
There are times that we face failures. People may tell us that we can do nothing. "God's plan for you goes beyong your pesonal boundaries"
Greatness is not being able to do things that other's can't. It's not about standing out above anyone else. It's the ability to project life that God has given you.2.EMPOWER
recieve the power when the Holy Spirit comes to you..
The Lord said in Acts 1:8:
"But you will recieve power when the Holy Spirirt comes to you...and you will be my witnesses".
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God” (2 Timothy 1:5,6)
We are empowered because we have the Spirit in us All we've got to do is to do our responsibility: To be commited
Oftentimes, we are destructed by the wrong choices we made. We sometimes, caught ourselves in the middle of nowhere and look back that we're in the "effect" of the "cause" of our wrong decisions. It's because of our commitments. Bad commitments leads to bad choices. To rephrase : Your commitments weill determine your choices. If you are truly commited to your school/work, then your choice whether to be with church friends or school friends will be your schoolfriends (example lang yun). It's commitments -> choices. and How committed are you? It's COMMITMENT AND PASSION! for your Passion will dictate your commitments.
3. ENGAGE
3.1 Intellectuatl Engagement. For we are battling a world of philosophies, how people look at life, how peopple answes life, or how to live it. There are many unanswered questions about life. But there's one thing God gave to us. Read the Bible for it has ALL the answers. Swear!
3.2. Socio-Political Engagement. Politics is not really all about leading a certain city. It's true meaning behind words is the care for the city not just the city, but as well as to care for people living in it. God gave us this world to be taken care of. We should be responsible enough. We shouldn't neglect to clean our very own rooms, (GET THE BROOM AND BROOM THE ROOM), to participate in our homes. The very first ministry that God gave us is our House Ministry. It's more than of the services we can give to our churches. Then to our communities and to the outwards. Also, we shouldn't neglect to pray for the oppressed. To help others specially those in need. (not just financially ah)
3.3. Spiritual Engagement. We should be the light of the world. We should start to ourself - let go of the bitterness when God calls you to love. We should be spiritually equipped. Start growing! Then, let's spread the 'fever' - let's be a blessing to others. Let's be an inspiration to others. Let's have the Spiritual Victory. Let's love God with all our hearts, minds, soul.. with all we've got.

AMAZINGRACe
Hekhek.
Maraming marami akong nakilalang new faces. Maraming first timers. Marami akong nameet.
Lalu na nung last day ng challenges.. Waaah! grabe! ang saya! nauna pa kami. United BLUE TEAM!
At lagi kaming masaya:)
Sa Cabin, andon sina Darlyn, Ate Oshme, Bambi, Arjin, Iana, Joanna (na hinaharana pa ni William), Jenelyn(si Boy), Kris Anne, at many more!.. many more tlaga! hehe. ayon, sila ang kasama ko sa Devotions at sa pila sa pagligo. Hekhek. Ayks.
Willie B. at si Ptr Alwin A.. Haha!

Please Be Man Enough
I have always been with my guy friends. Gimiks, Galaan, Barkada. I've been with my elder brothers and have been close with such people. I have always been amazed with their personalities and uniqueness. The way they handle things, the way they live, the way they mysteriously make up their lovelives, the way they strive to get what they want in life and so much more. But unfortunately, not all of them stood up and been man enough.
"Let's be man enough" - I often hear this from my brother whenever he talks to guys. Being a real man is not having womEn with you, make women love you, having relationships with hundrends of them, etc. It's not measured with how many girls you had in your life. You don't have to be physically strong or to be handsome. You dont have to have your own car or have a lot of money to say you're the man.
Being a real man(for me, ofcourse, it's my blog) is being responsible. Responsible of what?
Can you remember the Adam-Eve story? When Eve ate the fruit of knowledge and had been tempted to disobey God. Eve shouldn't have eaten that if Adam was with her. Adam, as what God has told him, should be responsible not only of taking responsible of everyTHING, but as well as to be responsible of his wife. He should have been with his wife - taking responsible with the decision of whether eating the fruit or not.

But the Lord called to the man, "Where are you?"
-Genesis 3:9
I'm not a man hater huh! I just want to express my self! heeHee! Love you guys!
-Genesis 3:9
The Lord called the man because was HIDING from God. Sometimes, man tend to hide and run away from their responsibilities God has bestowed to them.SOME of them tend to run and hide from their very own self, from what they feel. Sometimes, they're not assure of themselves. Like women, they do need love and feel that they have been loved but they just drive their selves crazy-telling they're not just to say they're man enough. Sometimes, they dont want to face their fears. Well, fear is always present, Having COURAGE is not. Sometimes, they just hang themselves when they're about to take risks. Sometimes, they measure life and just want to be sure of the path they're about to take. Sometimes, they didn't mean what they say. Sometimes, they unconciously ruin women's lives. They break hearts, and say their not responsible for it. Sometimes, they just see women as friends without being sensitive enough that these friends are one of the greatest responsiblity that God had given them.
Fortunately, I have brothers (biological/non-bio) who are CAPTIVATED with their responsiblities. They live not hiding with these responsibilities. They see girls as if they were their sisters - bearing in mind that they should be taken care of.
Fortunately, I have brothers who knows how to face their inside feelings, strong enough to face a 2-faced(lose or win) reality when they are about to take a risk. They're man enough to face defeat and humble enough when they won. They have courage to face their greatest defeat and stand up to fight again.

Nako! Lalu na't hindi ako ng tithes! Ayon, dahil andon na rin si Ptr. Ron, kapatid kong mahal ay siya na ang pinagbenediction (on the spot). Tapos, hanggang sa matatapos na ung service.. "The Lord be gracious.. gracious unto you..".
Nakakatuwa. Sabihin na nilang O.A. ako or what pero nagpapasalamat talaga ko kay Papa God. Weeeh!
Nako! Lalu na't hindi ako ng tithes! Ayon, dahil andon na rin si Ptr. Ron, kapatid kong mahal ay siya na ang pinagbenediction (on the spot). Tapos, hanggang sa matatapos na ung service.. "The Lord be gracious.. gracious unto you..".
Kahit anong mangyari. Tapos, tinanong ako, sabi "O, kelan mo ibibigay yung P600?" The life I am dreaming of...
When I was a kid, I'm dreaming of being an astronaut. It was a "selfish" dream of me. I just want fame and money. Then, when I'm in high school, when I started to watch GMA Docu's, I dream of becoming a Doctor to be able to go to the different barrios here in the Philippines. I was wondering if I could help people specially those who cant afford to pay for a doctor's service. I was really really touched by these kind of people and ofcourse, by their stories. When I'm in 4th year, I dream of becoming a psychologist/sociologist (any field related in this kind of social science) to be able to help people with their lives.
But here I am, a 4th year IT student. Gadgets, gizmos and computers are surrounding me. I might be a part of those people who JUST makes other's lives easier. Not a part of those people who could help to change lives. But, ofcourse, life is a matter of choice, it's still up to me- how will I be able to help people.. people who are in need.
I believe that God put me in this kind of field. I find it enjoyable as I learn to love the course where He put me. No wonder, that God will help me to boost my career and give me a job where I can earn more than what I can think.
But.. I am not living my life for myself alone... not anymore. What will I do with money?[Well ofcourse, I want to pay my parents back more from what they had given me. ] When all of my life, God had teach me to live by faith. What will I do with fame? If all I want to do now is to live my life in a way that others may know Christ.
Oh well, oh well... my life is about my purpose on earth. It's about what God is directing me to do. It's about knowing Him and letting others know Him. It's not about myself. It's not about my own ambitions.. not my own dreams.. But the dreams that He had inspired me...
My life that has been full or storms.. storms that gives me the opportunity to trust Him.
My life is to love others.. So that others may feel how deeply Christ had loved me.
Yeah, my life is not yet fulfilled. But it was already filled by His love and grace. So, I am here.. fulfilling the life He's planning for me.

Obsession
What can i do with my obsession
With the things i cannot see
Is there madness in my being
Is it the wind that moves the trees?
Sometimes You're further than the moon
Sometimes You're closer than my skin
And You surround me like a winter fog
You've come and burned me with a kiss
And my heart burns for You
And my heart burns...for You
And i'm so filthy with my sin
i carry pride like a disease
You know i'm stubborn, Lord,
and i'm longing to be close
You burn me deeper than i know
And i feel lonely without hope
And i feel desperate without vision
You wrap around me like a winter coat
You come and free me like a bird
my love burns for You
and my heart feels for You
my life good for You
all i have burns for you, you
burns, burns, oh la la la la la la
my love burns for You
..
my heart burns for You..
With the things i cannot see
Is there madness in my being
Is it the wind that moves the trees?
Sometimes You're further than the moon
Sometimes You're closer than my skin

The WellSpring of Life
Proverbs 4:23
But there's come an instance where I have to choose between love and life. Love, where life had given me a chance to fight for the one I loved against Life to forget the one I loved, to live and wait for the one God created for me.
So I asked God for help and He did. He opened my eyes and let me see things I have never seen before. He taught me the importance of present and future. He made me realize that life isn't really fair so you have to choose really what you really want.
And finally, I have chosen life against love because if I choose love today and not wait for the one God created for me then I could not have the reason to live and love.. and to live and love for tomorrow.
